It's always so much fun getting to see friends from my grade school days. This mom, I have known since I was in 7th grade! For the shoot, we met downtown early in the morning and had a great time together, catching up and shooting on the Nature Boardwalk in Lincoln Park. That little spot was new for me this year and quite honestly, it was a great getting to work with different scenery and lighting than I typically shoot in around here. Shooting in the same spot can get boring and with the huge rise in the number of photographers, several locations have become overrun with them this time of year and lines actually form to get specific shots. That is not my idea of an enjoyable shoot so I love scoping out new areas. I love the feel of the boardwalk, because you get not only the big skyline of the city in some shots, but also this little patch of nature, which is somewhat unexpected. I hear this location is crawling with photographers normally, but we got lucky and didn't run into any! Enjoy a little sneak peek of our morning together. Can't wait til next time!
